In 1991, at Indiana University, the first Dance Marathon happened in honor of Ryan White. After his passing, his friends organized the first ever dance marathon to show their support for the hospital and continue sharing Ryan's story. The Dance Marathon, or DM, movement is spreading across the US reaching more than 300 schools and even more kids all while raising more than $62 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
